| NIST Admits Total Collapse Of Twin Towers Unexplainable Submitted by ...
Larry Silverstein, the landlord, said that he had ordered the fire department to "pull" the building. "Pull" is a term used for controlled demolition, which would explain why a building that was not hit by a plane and did not have fires large enough to melt steel and initiate a total collapse, did indeed collapse at freefall speed, just like Buildings One and Two. That's why the NIST report doesn't mention Bldg.7, because no plane hit it, so if it could collapse at freefall speed without having been hit by a plane, so could any other building. Particularly if the building had been loaded with explosives beforehand and an order was given to pull it. No other buildings in history have collapsed at freefall speed due to fires. Much larger fires have blazed for days in much less sturdy buildings without causing them to collapse.
Big Brother 8- Party Task
This week's party task seemed like fun at first but of course there was a twist. Big Brother asked the housemates to choose five lucky people to attend an exclusive BB birthday bash but this didn't mean it was going to be a quiet night for those who didn't get picked. Gerry, Ziggy, Nicky, Amanda and Sam were chosen before another set of instructions were dished out. .
Police split over conviction in Colorado slaying
When Masters was convicted and sentenced in 1999 to life in prison for Hettrick's murder, prosecutors thought they'd closed Fort Collins' then-only unsolved murder. As court hearings resume Monday, a judge is re-examining decisions made years ago. Masters' new lawyers say key evidence was withheld during the original trial, and a special prosecutor is backing them in at least four instances. The defense team's claims of police and prosecutorial misconduct are supported not only by the attorneys who represented Masters in 1999, but also by former police officers, investigators and forensic experts, some of whom say police ignored other viable suspects. The case has divided a police precinct, pitted cop against cop and shattered an oft-impenetrable fraternity.
Dream of Veterans Memorial getting closer to reality
The memorial is estimated to total about $350,000 according to the City of Norman's Web site at www.NormanOK.gov.Schulenberg has found heroes like Norman actor James Garner, who was the first draftee from Oklahoma into the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. While in Korea, Garner was wounded twice and awarded two purple hearts.Garner has supported the project with his own funds to help honor other veterans as well.Hundreds of others have contributed funds and even profits from the Moore Bingo facility have helped. And for all Schulenberg's contributor heroes who have written checks to move the project closer to reality, it's America's military heroes -- its veterans -- that he most wants to honor."We want the sacrifices the veterans have made to never be forgotten, and this memorial will honor their names for generations to come," Schulenberg said last year. The concept for the Cleveland County Veterans Memorial was created by Norman engineer Bob Goins and Marine veteran Clarence Powell and designed by the architectural team of Rick McKinney, Nathan Coffey, Toni Bragg and Bryan Rainbow of the McKinney Architects Partnership."We are just trying to provide a space and a palette where they can include all the men and women from as far back as they can go, as far back as they have records," McKinney said. The concept was to create a five-faceted granite and bronze sculpture."And they've settled on this wonderful eagle with an American flag and it's on an about 11-foot high pylon that's a five-sided pentagon.
Sundance: Chris Pine And Alan Rickman Talk Bottle Shock
Due to technical difficulties, the press was asked to wait outside the conference room (which was actually a tent set up just outside the Yarrow hotel) while they got things fixed. Leanne and I got situated near the door and this afforded us the opportunity to see the various cast members of the film walk right by us. Id like to pretend as though I was unfazed by the sight of actors like Alan Rickman, Eliza Dushku, Freddie Rodriguez, Chris Pine or Bill Pullman as they walked by me but lets face it: I may wear a press badge on the outside, but on the inside I was squeeing like a dorky fangirl. Rachael Tayler, who is also in the film was present as well. You might remember her from her role as the hot blonde Aussie tech-geek in Transformers. We were eventually let into the tent, which was surprisingly warm and the conference got started fairly quickly.
Clearfield businessman running for Congress
A Clearfield County business owner has announced his candidacy for the 5th District seat in the U.S. House. Derek Walker is seeking the Republican nomination for the position in Congress being vacated by John Peterson. I believe that I have the background and a unique perspective as a result of having been born and raised in Bigler, a small mining village in Clearfield County, and having operated a successful business as well as serving on the boards of a number of community and economic development organizations, Walker said. I understand the challenges facing the people of this region and with hard work I believe that I can improve our future economic prosperity, the candidate added. Walker graduated from Clearfield High School with high honors and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in economics from Bucknell University and a Masters in Business Administration from Penn State.
